One of my sons favorite American legends is "Paul the Bunyan" as he calls him. My little man also is learning to chop fire wood and so when I saw this awesome 'in house' print from Modern Yardage, I knew that I had to make him a Paul Bunyan raglan!!! I used my favorite raglan pattern, The Safari Raglan by Titchy Threads, and whipped up this legendary shirt in an afternoon.
He was so excited to for his new shirt that he requested a road trip down to the "real Paul the Bunyan." I think that childhood is a wonderful time to teach children about the many legends that can be found around the world. The history of the world is taught through these legends. I have a love of the ocean and have always had a fondness for the tragic story of Mobby Dick and adore the concept of Nessie. We let our children create Leprechaun traps, pretend they are mermaids, and scare them a bit with campfire stories of El Chupacabra. What stories do you tell? Head over the these fantastic blogs to see which legends they take to heart!
Are any of your legendary ideas battling it out in your mind? I hope so! Show us what you come up with by linking up over at Crafting Con. We also want to say thank you to all the amazing people who have helped to Sponsor this giveaway!
