Spring Break Pajama Tour

Pajama pants are one of the first things I ever stitched & some of my favorite things to sew.  Mostly because they are very simple & provide nearly instant gratification.  My kids have pretty much grown up in a fabric store so they love picking out fun fabrics, especially novelty prints.  If you can't be crazy with your PJ pants fabric choice then when can you?!
My son has been loving this Totem Pole print since it arrived in the shop.  It's by Lewis & Irene from their WigWam Woods line.
A while ago, I was gifted a stack of tissue paper patterns and included were a couple pajama patterns.  I didn't love that the legs required 2 seams (I have little kids who keep me on the go so I prefer to make sewing as simple & fast as possible!).  I traced the pattern onto wrapping paper I had on hand & created one leg piece from the 2 pattern pieces provided.  For my slim kiddo, I've used the same pattern for about 3 years now, just adding more inches to the bottom each year.  Kids grow so dang fast, so I like to add extra length to the hem to keep up with his growth spurts.  When they start turning into flood pants, then I know it's time to pop out the hem & re-stitch.
I love seeing my kids in items that I made for them, especially with fabrics that they picked out themselves.  I am also grateful that they still think that mama-made is cool! ;)
We're thrilled to be a part of Spring Break Pajama blog tour along with some creative talent!  Not only is there a ton of inspiration from all the bloggers, but giveaways & discounts for YOU!

  6. PJ pants are a great beginner pattern. It's one of the first things my daughter made when I taught her how to sew.
