Happy Valentine's day!
Once I saw the Daphne skirt, I knew it would be hit for my little girl's need for fresh fashion. And it was!
My daughter picked out the red and gold glittery heart fabric from a local big box store. I knew I didn't have any heart fabric in my stash bigger than a fat quarter, so I gave in. It pairs beautifully with Michael Miller's Glimmer Glitz gold and white fabric. I used the bottom portion of the gradient design as the bottom of her skirt & the middle portion of the fabric to make a fluffy bow headband. It all coordinates, without being too matchy matchy with the all the polka dots. And we adore polka dots!
This was my first Daphne skirt, but it definitely won't be the last. I love the flat front waist, the fullness of the double skirts, and my daughter is quite happy with the twirl factor. We fully tested that, of course.
My son donned his metallic vest made with Art Gallery's Prisma Elements Marble Shadow. I love this fabric for the soft color and modern metallic geometric print. There are a few more shots of this handsome dude in his vest here.
The Daphne skirt pattern was provided by Katie of Simple Life Pattern Co., but opinions are entirely my own.
