Pattern Revolution: Bundle Up Girls Tour Part 2

I hope you had a chance to peek at the Penny Vintage Coat & Dress that I made last week for the tour. It is a great pattern with tons of potential. This is such a great bundle! It is almost spring time here in the Pacific Northwest and this bundle is completely transforming my girls closet from winter to spring.

Today is the last day of the Bundle Up Girls Blog Tour and I am going to share with you the Tie-Dye Diva's Potato Chip Skirt. This skirt can be a quick easy sew for beginners -or- taken up a notch in the skills level and wow factor by making it reversible. I won't lie, I went with the quick and easy sew this time.
The best part is that while I was making one for my girls, they were practicing their sewing skills and made a reversible one for their dolls! We all had a great afternoon sewing together.
I love how you can use a coordinating fabric for the pockets on the skirt to add a little interest. We did this on our doll version and made it so the fabric that is the reversible dress is the same fabric used for the pockets.

I am in love with this black heart stripe fabric and lucky for you if you love it too because you can find it here in our shop. I think it is perfect for valentines but it's not over the top and can be used for boys and girls!

For my daughters skirt I did not use a coordinating fabric for the pocket, but rather I added a pop of color with the pipping. Teal is one of my favorite colors and I am really loving it in my fabrics this year.
Have you seen all the amazing outfits put together by all the brilliant bloggers on this tour? If not you really should take a few minutes to go look. There are wide leg pants that are to die for! A dress made out of neoprene (yes that is the wet-suit material, and YES it is BEAUTIFUL!!!), cute little tops and dresses, a button up cardigan, and my favorite pattern simply because of the 'PH,' the Phresh Blazer. There are so many options in this bundle. If you have not created your own PATTERN BUNDLE yet, you have until tomorrow to do so. And don't forget that there is a GIVEAWAY too!
