I am so excited these ladies at Phat Quarters asked me to guest blog for you today. This is a first for me so bear with me as I am excited to share with you my project today. I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Michigan for 6 1/2 years. I never really found myself crafty but once a friend introduced me to this hobby I was addicted and couldn't stop. Now I share with and teach others more about rubber stamping and paper crafting at my blog,, and also locally at my Lakeshore Stamping Studio. If you aren't familiar with Stampin' Up!, we are a direct sales company that offers rubber stamps and paper crafting supplies through Independent Demonstrator for the last 25 years. So all the supplies for the project below I sell through Stampin' Up! on my website here as a Independent Demonstrator. I'd love for you to stop by! You saw Gemia and Leah's bunting they made using the Tag a Bag Gift Bags on their post here, and I also made a different style of gift bag here using these cute bags. So here is another way to use these cute Tag a Bag Gift Bags (131370)...a Mini Album!!!
Tutorial: Tag a Bag Mini Album

Let me explain how I decorated the front of the mini album first and then we will walk through how to put it together and the inside.
I first used a piece of our Soft Suede card stock (115318) and cut it out using our Deco Labels Collection Framelits (130102). I love to sponge around the edges so I used a Stamping Sponge (101610) and our Soft Suede Classic ink (126978). I added a little bling on the corners of the label using our Basic Rhinestone Jewel Accents (119246). The white circle is punched out with our 1 3/4" Circle punch (119850) using Whisper White card stock (100730) and the blue/green circle is punched out using our 1 3/8" Circle punch (119860) in Coastal Cabana card stock (131297). The circle is also stamped with our Background Builders stamp set (129147) in Coastal Cabana Classic Ink (131175). The "F" is cut out using our Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die (127553) along with our Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (113439) in Soft Suede card stock. The letter measures 1 1/4" high.
Underneath the label is a piece of our 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (132140) and then a piece of our 3/8" Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim (130024). I cut a 1/4" strip of Whisper White card stock and stamped family in Soft Suede Classic Ink. I really love how this front cover came out.

You'll see in a bit how I used this piece of 4 x 5" piece of Coastal Cabana card stock to use as a binding on the album. I did first stamp it using the Background Builder stamp set in Coastal Cabana Classic ink. I added a strip of Soft Suede card stock and a piece of our 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126877) to pretty up the binding. I left the back of the album's binding plain but you could easily add some stamping.
Let's move on to how I put this cute mini album together...
For my mini album, I used four of our Tag a Bag Gift Bags. Aren't they just cute with the Chevron print?!?! They come 10 in a package so you could make your album with more pages than I will show you today.

I added a strip our extra-tacky double-sided Sticky Strip (104294) to the backside of 3 of the bags...leaving the bottom bag without Sticky Strip.

I lined up all the bags together and stuck them together using the Sticky Strip. I then took the 4x5" piece of Coastal Cabana card stock, added sticky strip to the inside and carefully placed it around the edge of the album. Not shown in this picture, but I did stamp the card stock and add the ribbon before placing the binding around the bags. That's the basic assembly of the album and then you decorate and pictures as you wish. Next are the pictures showing you how I decorated the inside of my album but the possibilities are endless!

I used this album for some pictures of my grandparents along with my two kids and my Mom. My grandfather passed away in October 2012 and I was VERY thankful I was able to get these pictures with him. Why does the picture taker never think to get her picture though?!? I'm a little bummed about that!
You will also see I used the bag openings as pockets for more journaling or for additional pictures. I only used two of the pockets but you could utilize all four in this mini album. I also made tabs for the extra pages using our Decorative Label punch (120907), then folding it in half and adhering it to the page. Here you will see how they look from the front of the album in this next picture.
You will see I did some simple journaling around the edges of the matting of the pictures. I'm still deciding what to do in the pull out pages. Maybe more journaling or add a few more pictures.
